- Should I wash my towels when I get them?
We recommend that you wash your Linen & Cotton towels once before you use it to make it more absorbent. When washing the towels for the first time it would be a good idea to wash it separate as some natural fibre shedding might occur.
- The color of my linen product looks different than it does online.
As much as we try to faithfully reproduce each Linen & Cotton product photographically, slight shifts in color may occur.
- What does GSM mean?
The standard measurement for weight of fabrics is Grammes per Square Metre (GSM). This is also used to indicate the quality of a towel. The higher GSM the better the quality.
- Which GSM?
The softness and absorbency of a towel will be greater with increasing GSM, therefore the higher the GSM, the more luxurious the towel. A towel that weighs less than 400gsm will feel thin and this should be the minimum weight for hand/guest towels. Luxury towels fall in the region of 500 – 650gsm and higher in some cases.
